Review in a Nutshell: Although the film suffers from erratic pacing and an incomplete narrative, Jason and the Argonauts (1963) is nevertheless a landmark achievement in stop-motion animation special effects, and it captures a strong sense of mythological splendor with its spectacle.

I also enjoyed this film as a kid, but I have to note that the story of 300 Spartans is not from Greek mythology. Instead it’s from Greek history. The era of myth was from so far back that Dark Age Greeks forgot they had built certain structures and ascribed them to cyclopses, along with forgetting writing systems like Linear B.
