Hey, Fan #4 here. I just thought it interesting that you guys touched on the fact that Doom was extremely petty in this film and focused only on the Fantastic Four themselves .. you didn’t mention that despite the fact that Doom NEVER EVEN ONCE threatened the city, the entire city thanked and applaused and threw confetti for the Four when they beat up some metal dude in the streets. It comes off as a little odd, to say the least.
Anyway, sort-of-long-time listener, first time commenter, and I gotta say, the tin-can effect of this cast only amplified the only problem I have with your ‘cast: you’ve GOTTA balance the sound on the clips you edit in, because they’re always way louder than your recorded segments. It was just really noticeable this time out. Otherwise, I’ve been listening weekly and enjoying it. Kudos and so forth.
Thanks, I appreciate the advise. I’m currently on a quest to find better audio equipment and recording / editting software.
The next episode featuring Angel and George (in which we tackle Reign of Fire) should sound considerably better than this one, which was our first long-distance recording. And I’ll see what I can do about the sound effects, too. I have no desire to blow out anybody’s speakers or ear-drums with an overly enthusiastic sound effect.
