Don’t drink the water, because Three the Hard Way is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Review in a Nutshell: Suffering from spotty direction and a thin plot, Three the Hard Way succeeds purely on the charisma of its lead actors and the stunt work of the legendary Hal Needham.
I have to say, I wasn’t aware Needham was the Stunt Coordinator on this, Paul.
I saw this once ‘way back when – I just remember it being nowhere near as bat-crap crazy as the premise promised.
This looks cringe-worthy, but I must admit, I’m intrigued.
The day I met Jim Kelly I also met Fred WIlliamson. Jim was the sweetest, and most genuine man ever. He kept asking me about “this twitter thing” (it was when twitter was only a year or so old.) Fred, from my experience with him, was very happy-go-lucky and a joker. And he really likes the ladies.
Amazon has THREE THE HARD WAY as part of a 4-film URBAN ACTION set for $9.76 along with BLACK BELT JONES, HOT POTATO and BLACK SAMSON. If it weren’t for BLACK SAMSON, this could be “The Jim Kelly Action Pack” – I’m surprised they didn’t use BLACK SAMURAI as a fourth film in this set.
Or ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO, which is a follow-up to THREE THE HARD WAY which Fred Williamson wrote and directed!
I know jack squat about the blacksploitation genre. One of my friends forced me to watch Buck Town starring Fred Williamson. It’s a great movie. The end fight has a real ECW feel to it. I cannot recommend it enough.
