Men WITH Hats.

Watch out for dingos, because Quigley Down Under is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Sean “Hollywood” Hunting.

Review in a Nutshell:  A competently composed film set in the wild west of Australia, Quigley Down Under has solid performances, some dark undertones, and the coolest rifle in cinema history.

ERRATA:  I meant Men at Work, not Men Without Hats.  All of my music-related puns fail miserably.

ah man. I wanted to do this one

  2. Did you know the day you posted was Selleck’s 67th birthday?

I did not know that. A happy coincidence.

  4. An excellent double feature with High Road to China

I second “High Road to China” as another great Selleck flick.. Unfortunately i don’t think it was ever released on DVD. I was able to get my hands on a VHS rip last year. It was still great to watch. Lassiter isn’t bad either but i haven’t seen that one in like 25 years 😉

Great podcast of a great movie. I remember enjoying Quigley when I originally saw it and the film still stands as a great old-style western in the post-Unforgiven era.

And High Road to China is out on DVD, but it looks like the (allegedly poor quality) US release is out of print and it’s currently only available in region 2 fullscreen format.

You haven’t done many westerns. Have you considered doing Turok – Son of Stone? 2D traditional animation based on the 50s comics not the 90s reboot. Bloody Indian battles and dinosaurs. Great voice cast too. Not sure if this one is still in print but Red Sun with Bronson and Mifune would be good too. Gunslingers and samurai awesomeness.
