There’s Always Room for Dog-Murder

Broadswords and frying pans make great anti-werewolf weapons, and Dog Soldiers is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the DVD cover or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Sean ‘Hollywood’ Hunting.

Review in a Nutshell: Gruesome and gory, Dog Soldiers is a fun little action-horror film with a grotesque sense of humor and great onscreen chemistry among the soldiers. The werewolf suits are pretty cool, too.

Paul – actually this SOUNDS like The Greatest Movie Ever!

I have no idea why I haven’t seen it yet….

Speaking of SciFi, my older brother found himself the extra in a SyFy movie shot out in Connecticut. I think the only reason they wanted him is because he’s a truck driver and they needed someone to drive a semi in their made-for-TV horror flick. Out of the deal, my brother also got to do some other stuff that gave me a “special effects” credit according to IMDB (it’s hard to read his name scroll up the screen because of how tiny-ass they have to make the text nowadays), but also to use his surname name on the truck itself! I’d say that wasn’t too bad, though the truck gets done away with halfway through the film and it doesn’t matter anymore. His role was pretty off-camera to say the least (more like faceless but I guess we’re not supposed to care about the driver they had to hire for the job).

Syfy bothered to air it once and that’s it. No encore performance or secondary VOD/online streaming venues to be had. Not going to bother any further since I don’t care about these movies anyway (or Syfy).

I’m only 30 seconds in and already the small screencap pic in my media player is making me want to watch this right now.

I fell asleep 3 times listening to this episode, so heard you 3 times say The Descent is not a good movie. I love that movie, my wife loves this movie and my horror film loving daughter loves this movie! So you are clearly wrong! Love the podcast even if it makes me sleepy!
