Review in a Nutshell: A grim, challenging film of pain-staking period detail and exquisite composition, The Witch (2015) is an atypical, intelligent horror tale with strong feminist themes and disturbing religious subtext.
Never even heard of this one, Paul – but the trailer makes it look…interesting.
I’ve been canvassing a variety of views on this film, because I found it stunningly boring and want to know what exactly people see in it.

Finding this movie “boring”, or “stunningly boring”, is evidence that you might have bad taste! This movie is wonderful, and the ending is legitimately feel-good (or “uplifting”, as Paul said). Hail Satan!
