Review in a Nutshell: An oddball mixture of rock music and half a dozen different animation styles, Rock & Rule is hampered by technically difficulties that have little to do with the amount of talent that was poured into its production. At the time of this writing, you can catch a free, legitimate stream of the film from the official Nelvana Retro Rerun Youtube channel, but the quality is not ideal.
The Greatest Movie EVER! Podcast 
I think the movie is great, but rough as HECK. As long as you watch the (proper) canadian cut, and remember the plot is about a has-been rock star trying to put on the greatest show EVER no matter the cost, you won’t be lost and hopefully will enjoy yourself.
P.S. Might as well ask. A few years ago I sent you a (rather good) drawing of a certain small pony named Trixie in a witch’s hat (through a different email I believe). Did you get it at all? Did you like it?
Growing up in Canada I had the kids storybooks for this film and also The Devil and Daniel mouse ( which I actually like better) You should reveiw Never ending story part 2 !
