Review in a Nutshell: A straight-to-video cyberpunk science fiction mash-up of Blade Runner, Snatcher, and The Terminator, Nemesis (1992) makes up for its derivative story with incredible stunt-work, excellent practical special effects, and ludicrous gun-play. It’s a tremendously enjoyable little film.
This podcast never stops being entertaining. And I can even tell you why. You have a knack of talking about movies in a way that helps me visualize them, as long as making interesting commentary. You also don’t do the lazy thing and go scene-by-scene like most lazy web “reviews”. You leave enough of the movie unspoiled.
I’m pretty sure the reason they say cyborg instead of android is because The Terminator does the same error.
At least in The Terminator, the villainous automaton wears a flesh-suit, so it more closely resembles a “cybernetic organism”. The “cyborgs” in Nemesis are entirely mechanical, so really “android” or “robot” would be a more accurate, less confusing term.
