Always wear your seatbelt, because Repo Man is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Review in a Nutshell: A confluence of punk rock anarchy and self-deprecating suburban cynicism, Repo Man is also a high concept, low budget science fiction film with a bizarre sense of humor and an avante-garde edge. It’s the kind of film that could only have come from the early Eighties.
Repo Man is pretty bloody brilliant; blind bought the UK Blu-Ray purely based on many of my peers adoration of it. I was one of those guys who knew this was ‘my kind of movie’ as soon as the car trunk opened. Arguably one of my absolute favourite early 80’s films.
In-Tense! 😀
Raquel and I saw this, and we both came out of the theatre going, “::snicker!:: I liked it, I think….::chuckle!::” It’s probably the most accessible and enjoyable “art film” either of us had ever seen (that’s how it was pitched in its limited NYC run at the now-defunct 8th Street Cinema, anyway), and remains my favorite of Alex Cox’s films by a considerable chalk.
Expected a Genetic Opera review, got a review of a movie I never heard of, maybe will watch.
