DON’T SAY I NEVER DID NOTHIN’ FOR YA!
Oh My God!! Don’t tell me its Goob vs Emo-Peter Parker!! I almost feel like calling in sick so I can hear this the minute it gets posted.
You know I actaully did like Soldier and I actually kinda liked Spiderman 3; which I think puts me in some kind of internet/podcast minority along with the guys from Film Junk.
I like Soldier and I’d like Spidey 3 better if Sony would allow us the option of leaving out the whole Emo sequence while watching the Blu Ray…
Well, can’t you just hit the skip chapter function on the DVD? I guess you could get one of those new DVD players for families that cuts out all the T’n’A it might have a setting to cut out all the emo. Then Episode II and III of Star Wars would take about 45 minutes to watch.
So Soldier can beat Solo, right? Solo has awesome powers of tedium with which he can blast you.
Goob,
PLease, please, please… would you consider doing a George Romero month since his birthday is in February and so is Valentines day?
Great show – I just watched Soldier last night for the first time and really enjoyed it.
~thanks~
Spiderman 3 was crap. Thin plot, to many baddies without good development, Action was there for action sake, which is never good, anyhow I never watched Soldier due to the fact that if you have the ability to dump trash somewhere in space, why not a Star??? If not a star, then why in God’s name a Habitable planet, at the very least a moon or asteroid.
Todd the Soldier vs Snake Plissken, with Stuntman Mike and Jack Burton in the corners as managers. Who wins?
Please discuss.
It’s all in the reflexes, Jeff.
Paul, you’ve been dancing around “Big Trouble…” like a nervous teenage boy at a school dance. Let’s get serious, and join Wang Chi and Jack Burton in the Hell of the Upside Down Sinners.
To answer Jeff’s question: KURT RUSSELL wins in that scenario.
As for Big Trouble, it’s been in planning for a long time. I have to buy some more equipment to eliminate the technical difficulties I’ve encountered in long-distance recording situations, but as soon as that’s done, we can make that a reality.
I grew up like that for most part. A SOLDIER… I care about others first and always ready to do a job. I now work for the Government away from the military and its beliefs. I will always be a SOLDIER and we can t be replaced by anything because we care so no matter the pain suffering or horror we are humans to and we do have thoughts! SOLDIERS WE ARE SOLDIERS WE STAND TO PROTECT..DEFEND AND SERVE
I just finished watching Soldier again for probably the 20th time. It IS a great movie. I found on the net that Kurt says about 104 words in the whole movie, but he speaks volums with simple facial expressions and body language. I think “I’m going to kill them all, sir” is right up there with the top movie lines of all time.
