“We’ve come for the Krites.”

Strap on your hip-blaster, because Critters is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Review in a Nutshell:  Critters is a charming creature feature filled with realistic human characters and outrageous alien criminals and bounty hunters.  It features special effects by the Chiodo Brothers and Terrence Mann’s tremendous eighties hair.

This movie does not contain:

Jeff’s Enormous Horse, Carter.

  1. Ian says:

Oh man all I have to say is that “I am a bounty hunter!!!!!” gotta do 2 and 3 the one with Leo.

  2. Numlock says:

When I first saw this movie as a young kid, it gave me some of the most intense nightmares I ever had.

Weird that I nearly lost a lung laughing when I recently viewed it for the second time.

  3. vichussmith says:

You must’ve recorded this before Avatar premiered because you said that we’re getting away from huge budget blockbusters.

Hmm, Maybe A-Team will save us. Expendables definitely will.

  4. gooberzilla says:

What I said was I hope we get away from big-budget blockbuster-style movies that cost three quarters of a billion dollars to make. I meant Avatar, specifically. Nothing I’ve seen or heard makes me want to see that film in the slightest, 3-D IMAX gimmickry or not.

  5. vichussmith says:

I saw it just yesterday. It’s not gimmickry. The upcoming Piranha 3-d is gimmickry. The story is natives vs. whites crib sheet, like all the lame, tired jokes have informed you, but I think you could speak about this movie, ill or good, for days.

It’s not just the 3d either. The technique used to create interaction between the CG character and human is also what has made a big mark in filmmaking.

  6. Eduardo M. says:

    a couple of things.
    1) the closest Dee Wallace has to a screaming scene is she shrieks when she sees Eliot, his brother, and ET in their Halloween costumes. (She thought Drew Barrymore’s character was under the ghost costume Et was wearing.)
    2) Terrance Mann lends his voice to the Disney Gargoyles series. He is the voice of fairy king Oberon. Does a great job too.
    3) Another celeb you guys missed is Scott Grimes. In addition to this movie, Scott Grimes was part of the ER cast in its final seasons. He is also in the HBO mini series band of Brothers. he will be playing Will Scarlet in the Robin Hood movie featuring Russel Crowe

  7. When I fired up the iPod Touch, I looked at the picture and thought, “That looks like Jeff with a big damn horse.” And… I was right. 🙂
