Review in a Nutshell: A low-budget science fiction slasher film, Crash and Burn cribs more from The Terminator than from earlier Charles Band properties. Along with Robot Wars, this is one of many films purported to be a sequel to Robot Jox.
This movie contains:
The Future!
Hand Trauma.
Bill Moseley, Paragon of Acting Technology.
Melancholy Robots.

The thing with Band’s Eighties work is that he and his writing staff are clearly SF/Fantasy fans – but they’re not very good at writing their movies in a way to incorporate the Money Shots with the story they want to tell. They’ll have these violent or actiony scenes that look great in the trailers, but it won’t make a lick of sense in the context of the story.
