Not to Be Confused with “Enemy Mime”…

Watch out for space antlions and meteor showers, because Enemy Mine is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the title or the movie poster above to download our review of the film, featuring guest host Kara Dennison.

Review in a Nutshell: Aside from some shoe-horned action sequences at the beginning and end of the film, Enemy Mine is a contemplative science fiction film about friendship and survival that is buoyed up by an outstanding performance by Louis Gossett Jr.

“Okay, Baby.”

Watch out for acid rain, because Creepozoids is the Greatest Movie EVER?

Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring guest host Jeremy Kaufmann (@whydoisay).

Review in a Nutshell: A low budget and unapologetic Aliens knock-off, Creepozoids, is a strange and inexplicable exercise in film-making that will leave your scratching your head.

Late for My Shift at the Oppression Factory

The Blu-Ray cover of the Warner Pictures home video release of the 1971 film, THX-1138. The cover shows a close-up profile view of a bald person with an ear-tag labeling them as THX-1138.

Hold on to your humanity, because THX 1138 is the Greatest Movie EVER?

Click on the Blu-ray cover or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring guest host “celebrity translator” Neil Nadelman.

Review in a Nutshell: Some strong performances and excellent mise en scène can’t prevent this 1971 dystopic science fiction film from George Lucas and Warner Bros. from being a bit of a slog. THX 1138 is a fascinating and sometimes baffling film, but not exactly an easy viewing experience.

Team Big Eyes in Iron City

Hold on to your robot juice, because Alita: Battle Angel is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the Blu-ray cover or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Daryl Surat of AnimeWorldOrder and Rob Lantz.

Review in a Nutshell: A true rarity, Alita: Battle Angel is an anime-to-live-action adaptation that managed to navigate a decades-long “development hell” while still remaining faithful to the spirit of the source material. It’s a great little science fiction / action film for a multitude of reasons.

There Goes the Picnic…

Hide the sugar, because Them! (1954) is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring guest host Bill Bossert.

Review in a Nutshell: Often imitated by never duplicated, Them! is a tightly paced science fiction thriller that kicked off the “giant insect” phase of Atomic Horror films in the Fifties.

Alien Cops Are Blastin’

Hold on to your alien weapons and your teenage dreams, because Laserblast is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Phillip (formerly known as Eeeper of Eeeper’s Choice).

Review in a Nutshell: A no-budget science fiction flick from the Seventies, Laserblast nonetheless has some outstanding pyrotechnics and a surprisingly meaty portrayal of alienation and suburban ennui.

“Tubular, Dude!”

Watch out for random fish monsters, because Shocking Dark is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the title or the Blu-ray cover above to download our review of the film, featuring guest host Tom Pandich.

Review in a Nutshell: A Z-grade Italian exploitation film that manages to rip-off both The Terminator (1984) and Aliens (1986), Shocking Dark is none-the-less wildly entertaining in its brazenness. It truly has to be seen to be believed.

“I reject your reality…”

Boot up your personal A.I. assistants, because The Dungeonmaster (1984) is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring M.O.M., the “Mistress of Malapropisms”.

Review in a Nutshell: A science fiction film with heavy fantasy elements told in a series of vignettes from different directors, The Dungeonmaster (1984) is a high-concept, low-budget oddity from the heyday of producer Charles Band and distributor Empire Pictures.

Make Mine Murder-Chimp

Rev up the geospheres, because The Lawnmower Man is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the Bluray cover or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring “Celebrity Translator” Neil Nadelman.

Review in a Nutshell: A low-budget science fiction film with pioneering computer graphics and a burbling anxiety about the future abuses of virtual reality technologies that have as-yet failed to materialize, The Lawnmower Man bears no real resemblance to its source material, but the production design and performances are good despite a muddled narrative and inconsistent tone and pacing.
