State of the Podcast Address

The Greatest Movie EVER! Podcast is in the process of moving to a new hosting service, one that can handle the kind of traffic that we attract.  This process is going to be a bit painful and will take a while to complete.  I have to re-upload all of the episodes to Libsyn, and there are limits on the number of files I can upload per month.  Until the switch-over is complete, there will be a lot of broken links, and the Archives page will be disabled.  Some of the podcasts will still be available for download through the updated RSS feed, but some will give 404 File Not Found errors.

UPDATE:  The Archives are now arranged alphabetically and feature all of the episodes that are currently uploaded and working.  All links in the WordPress weblog postings are still broken.

We will have everything up eventually, and we’ll still be trying to update with new content during the process.  We appreciate your patience during this difficult move.

Sincerely,

-Gooberzilla and the GME! Podcast Crew

Since we’re still recovering from JACON 2008 and need to get some recording done before we continue with the Big Month of Mark Dacascos, here is my convention report for the spectacular Anime Weekend Atlanta 2007, held at the Renaissance Waverly in Atlanta, Georgia last September 21 – 23.

SACRED ARTIFACTS:

These are a few souvenirs from my convention going experience.

  • A is my regular admittance badge, which I bought when I thought I wasn’t getting a press badge.
  • B is my press badge. Notice my hand-written authority.
  • C is an invite for Carl Horn’s illustrious room party, themed in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Royal Space Force.
  • D is an invite for Desloktoberfest, an equally illustrious room party, themed after LOLBlazers.
  • E is Tim Eldred’s business card. The private info has been removed to protect the innocent.
  • F is my business card. The private info is intact except for my phone number, because I don’t want the Internet prank-yanking me.

CON-RELATED ACTIVITIES:

Below are a series of links relating to my con-experience.

CLOSING THOUGHT:

Thumbs up!

Anime Weekend Atlanta: Umetsu-tested, Gooberzilla-approved.

Ultra-realistic / Too Comic-Booky?

Due to the incredible pressure brought to bear by “Hollywood” Hunting, The Punisher (2004) is simply a Movie, with no judgement or label attached.

(But it doesn’t have Dolph Lundgren in it. Draw your own conclusions.)

10 Minutes, 29 Seconds In:

John Travolta as Howard Saint.
Not a very convincing villain; perhaps it’s his fashion sense.

10 Minutes, 44 Seconds In:

Harry Heck. He’s walking the line of a ring of fire, because he hurt himself today after shooting a man in Reno just to watch him die.

12 Minutes, 50 Seconds In:

Rebecca Romjin.
Best in roles where she a.) does not talk and b.) karates Wolverine in the face.

13 Minutes, 52 Seconds In:

Ben Foster as Dave. They torture the hell out of him.

But they leave this guy alone?

COMING SOON!

Step off, Priss Asagiri!
