Review in a Nutshell: A low-budget science fiction film with pioneering computer graphics and a burbling anxiety about the future abuses of virtual reality technologies that have as-yet failed to materialize, The Lawnmower Man bears no real resemblance to its source material, but the production design and performances are good despite a muddled narrative and inconsistent tone and pacing.

Review in a Nutshell:  Lawnmower Man 2, aside from being a cultural artifact of early `90s science fiction film, is a hilariously inept chunk of pseudo-cyberpunk cinema that makes for a rollicking fun watch.

Review in a Nutshell:  Johnny Mnemonic is a poor adaptation with a surprisingly high number of hilarious things going on it.  It’s proof positive that some authors should not be allowed to adapt their own work.
