featuring Neil Nadelman and Kara Dennison.

Review in a Nutshell: At first glance, a shallow cash-grab sequel of a blatant toy-shilling spin-off. In actuality, a shockingly good story of struggle, failure, and redemption that surpasses the original Equestria Girls film in every way.

Review in a Nutshell: This is a long one, nearly two hours of pony-related nerdiness, including an episode-by-episode breakdown of the entire season.

I apologize for the sound quality in this one; it was the first episode I recorded using the new recording method, and I still hadn’t quite figured out how to mix the levels while recording through Skype.

When is a Pony not a Pony?

Saddle up, because My Little Pony: Equestria Girls is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Kara Dennison of conscrewDOTcom and celebrity translator Neil Nadelman.

Review in a Nutshell: It’s tough to review Equestria Girls in a vacuum since it’s not so much a standalone film as an “Elseworlds” side-story packed with heavy fan-service and inside jokes. We were all pleasantly surprised that we enjoyed it.

Review in a Nutshell:  We didn’t go as deep or as esoteric this time around, but we did manage to mention the concept of the Doppelganger, Derpy-gate, the highs and lows of the fandom, and why we think the show has managed to remain fresh despite the loss of certain key talents.
