I prefer the title “Mask of the Demon” not only because it better fits the content of the film, but also because “Black Sunday” is the title of a Thomas Harris novel adapted into film by John Frankenheimer. It’s because of this that “Black Sabbath” got its English-language title, hence the band of the same name.

The Inquisition wasn’t responsible for the witch hunts, hence it happening in famously anti-Papist Salem. Eastern Europe would have been Orthodox rather than Catholic, and hence without any Inquisition.
