No Skeletons Were Harmed in the Making of This Picture.

Strap on your six-shooters, because Ghost Town (1988) is the Greatest Movie EVER?

Click on the Bluray cover or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Phillip.

Review in a Nutshell: Hampered by a troubled production within a collapsing studio, Ghost Town (1988) is a “Weird Western” horror movie with an identity crisis whose moments of clear potential sadly fall short. Cool poster, though.

“I reject your reality…”

Boot up your personal A.I. assistants, because The Dungeonmaster (1984) is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring M.O.M., the “Mistress of Malapropisms”.

Review in a Nutshell: A science fiction film with heavy fantasy elements told in a series of vignettes from different directors, The Dungeonmaster (1984) is a high-concept, low-budget oddity from the heyday of producer Charles Band and distributor Empire Pictures.

“It’s Getting Weirder…”

Hold on to your crystal skulls, because House II: The Second Story is the Greatest Movie EVER?

Click on the title or the Blu-ray cover to download our review of the film, featuring guest host Kyle “ChibiUFO” Foster.

Review in a Nutshell: A PG-13 “sequel” to an R-rated original, House II: The Second Story is a horror comedy film that mostly works because of its strong production values, irreverent tone, and a strong performance by character actor Royal Danno as Gramps.

Bonus Episode: Jason Vorhees, Hero of the Proletariat

Hang on to your machetes, because Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the title or the movie poster above to download our review of the film, featuring Kyle “ChibiUFO” Foster.

Review in a Nutshell: A self-aware slasher made long before Scream cemented the conventions of subgenre, Jason Lives has a brisk pace and an irreverent sense of humor that make it both an interesting 80’s cultural artifact and an easy viewing experience.

GME! Anime Fun Time Episode #30 – Thunderbolt Fantasy

The month of Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without a little romance, and what’s more romantic than the 2016 Japanese / Taiwanese wuxia puppet theater co-production, Thunderbolt Fantasy? CLICK HERE or on the image above to download our review of the series, in which we explore whether a live-action puppet show can be more anime than anime.

Not to be confused with “Funky Town”.

Gas up the 1967 Chevy Impala, because Phantom Town (also known as Spooky Town) is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the VHS box cover or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Sean “Hollywood” Hunting.

Review in a Nutshell: As far as low budget, “Weird West” children’s films about a suburban family succumbing to the depredations of an unspeakable Lovecraftian eldritch horror go, Phantom Town isn’t bad. Okay, it’s actually pretty bad, but its bizarre premise alone makes it worth watching at least once.

Gas up the chainsaw, because Army of Darkness is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring M.O.M., the Mistress of Malapropisms.

Review in a Nutshell: Although the theatrical cut of Army of Darkness suffers from the choppy final edit foisted upon the film by the studio, the 3rd movie in The Evil Dead series is still the funniest and most easily accessible entry, and it stands out as a fun throwback to an age of practical special effects from the days before the ascension of CG.

Let your freak flag fly, because Nightbreed is the Greatest Movie EVER!

Click on the Bluray cover or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring ‘Internet Terrorist’ Tom Pandich and Violence Jill.

Review in a Nutshell: Clive Barker is a weird dude and Canada is a strange place in this dark fantasy / supernatural romance that was originally miss-advertised as a slasher flick. The Director’s Cut of Nightbreed is a superior version of the film in nearly every respect, although Paul still has his reservations.  See the film for its imaginative make-up effects and grim sense of humor.

Review in a Nutshell:  The very definition of Z-grade Italian zombie knock-off films, Nightmare City is one of those films that just you have to experience to truly understand.
