Obey the three drink minimum, because FP2: Beats of Rage is the Greatest Movie EVER!
Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Daryl Surat of AnimeWorldOrder.
This bonus episode is brought to you thanks to the generous contributions of the GME! Podcast patrons on Patreon.
Review in a Nutshell: A sequel that leans in hard on the rural / suburban absurdities of the first film, FP2: Beats of Rage is a loving homage to very specific period of Millenial pop culture, and whether its style of crass humor and epic fantasy nonsense will appeal to you is anybody’s guess. It hit the sweet spot for me, but my guest feels the film could have been even more exaggerated.

Sharpen up your tiny pencil and get ready to search for secret passages, because Clue is the Greatest Movie EVER!
Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Katherin the Great.
Review in a Nutshell: A commercial and critical failure at the time of its release, Clue has since gained a cult following thanks to its snappy writing, multiple endings, and inspired comedic performances. Clue is also one of Katherin’s favorite movies.

Break out the gopher-chucks, because Kung Pow! Enter the Fist is the Greatest Movie EVER!
Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Sean “Hollywood” Hunting.
Review in a Nutshell: One part straightforward kung fu revenge flick, sixteen parts pure absurdity, Kung Pow! Enter the Fist is what happens when you give Steve Oedekerk free rein to work his patented nuttiness on a martial arts movie spoof. It’s an acquired taste, to be sure. Wee oo wee oo.

It’s an ace detective team-up for the centuries, and Murder by Death is (probably not) the Greatest Movie EVER!
Click on the title or the movie poster above to download our review of the film, featuring M.O.M..
Review in a Nutshell: Death is easy, comedy is hard. Despite an all-star cast and the writing talents of the creator of The Odd Couple, I found Murder by Death to be brutally unfunny, although we can’t quite put our finger on why this meta-textual critique of the foibles of the murder mystery genre doesn’t work.

Gas up the chainsaw, because Army of Darkness is the Greatest Movie EVER!
Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring M.O.M., the Mistress of Malapropisms.
Review in a Nutshell: Although the theatrical cut of Army of Darkness suffers from the choppy final edit foisted upon the film by the studio, the 3rd movie in The Evil Dead series is still the funniest and most easily accessible entry, and it stands out as a fun throwback to an age of practical special effects from the days before the ascension of CG.

Put on your X-ray specs, because ‘If Looks Could Kill’ is the Greatest Movie EVER!
Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Sean ‘Hollywood’ Hunting.
Review in a Nutshell: A comedic send-up of spy movies featuring Richard Grieco as a high-school French student turned involuntary secret agent, ‘If Looks Could Kill’ is both surprisingly gruesome and surprisingly humorous. It’s just the right level of dumb to be entertaining. Special thanks to Jeff Phillips for requesting this one through the IndieGoGo campaign.

In our ongoing quest to fulfill the IndieGoGo campaign perks, Sean and I tackle The Stranger and the Gunfighter (aka El kárate, el Colt y el impostor, aka Blood Money).
It’s a fusion of spaghetti Western and Shaw Brothers kung fu film that stars Lee Van Cleef and Lieh Lo.
It ought to be awesome, right? Click on the VHS cover or the title above to download our review of the film to find out.
Review in a Nutshell: This movie is bad. Really, really, really bad. Not the good kind of bad. The bad kind of bad.

Fire up your turn tables, because Rock ‘n’ Roll High School is the Greatest Movie EVER!
Click on the movie poster or the title above to download our review of the film,
featuring Sean “Hollywood” Hunting, aka Seanie Ramone.
Review in a Nutshell: A cultural artifact from a time before cell phones and the Internet, Rock ‘n’ Roll High School is the kind of raucous, exuberant, nonsensical comedy that couldn’t skate by with a PG rating these days. It’s Animal House by way of Grease…starring the Ramones.

Button up your diapers, because Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot is (probably not) the Greatest Movie EVER!
Click on the poster or the title above to download our review of the film, featuring Andrew of Collection DX.
Review in a Nutshell: Universally pilloried for Stallone’s poor performance, the terrible writing, and the lame jokes, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot is not as bad as you would expect it to be, largely because Estelle Getty is quite a charming lady. This film plays like a forensic examination on how not to make a comedy, and for that reason I find it fascinating.

Coming from a time when cappuccino was an unknown thing, Hudson Hawk is the Greatest Movie EVER!
Click on the DVD cover or the title above to download our review of the film,
featuring Sean “Hollywood” Hunting.
Review in a Nutshell: An R-rated adventure-comedy that vacillates between cartoonish violence and realistic brutality, Hudson Hawk is a movie that feels like a throwback to earlier heist films on one hand, yet was also seems at least ten years ahead of its time with its tale of Da Vinci conspiracy, mobsters, singing cat-burglars, and frothy Italian coffee drinks.
